MICROSOFT INNOVATION STORIES

Role: Design

The Microsoft Innovation team came to us with an ambitious goal: create and launch three immersive digital experiences in four weeks to help ground, inspire and educate the target audience on each innovative story unveiled at the Ignite conference. Below are the two fluid and responsive experiences that I designed, New Datacenter Technologies and The Living Software Revolution.

NEW DATACENTER TECHNOLOGIES

Ant Rowstron, Principal Researcher and Deputy Lab Director at Microsoft, is exploring the future of data by reimagining storage, datacenters, and networking with the speed of light and a small, inexpensive pane of glass. My job was to design an experience that brought Ant’s work with Project Silica and Project Sirius to life in a compelling way for our target audience and resonate on a personal level.

THE LIVING SOFTWARE REVOLUTION

According to Senior Researcher Sara-Jane Dunn, we’re at the beginning of a new technological revolution that should allow us to program the body to fight diseases that currently evade our defenses. To program crops to produce more food to feed a hungry planet. And to develop new strategies to power our world in sustainable, climate-friendly ways. My job was to design an experience that brought Sara-Jane’s story to life in a compelling way for our curious and tech-sophisticated audience.
